Introductory Angling

Designed for beginners

No pressure learning session on the beach or pier to experience an extremely popular sport on the top bass lake in the USA.

We'll guide you through setting up your tackle, casting and reeling. License required, tackle provided.

In addition to being a very handy skill, fishing is a great bond and team building exercise for couples, families or larger groups, ask about our group experience packages.

Fishing License

A fishing license is required for all anglers 16 and older, you should obtain your license online by visiting California Fish and Wildlife to obtain your license before the class.

Remember: A valid fishing license is required for all participants aged 16 and older.

What kind of fish?

Local waters are home to a variety of fish species perfect for beginners. During class you might catch:

Bass

Feisty and fun to catch, bass are a favorite among anglers of all skill levels.

Bluegill

These colorful sunfish are abundant and perfect for beginners to practice with.

Catfish

Lakebed hunters that can grow to impressive sizes, providing excitement for any angler.

Crappie

Delicious panfish that school together, offering great action when you find them.
